As the City of Nicholasville prepares for the construction of a new municipal center, some departments will temporarily relocate to new addresses by November 14. This includes Utilities Customer Services, Human Resources, Tax Administrator, and the Finance Department.
City Hall offices will not move until after the new Municipal Center is complete, estimated to be in the summer of 2027.
On November 12 and 13, the drive-through window of the current Utilities office will be open, but the inside offices will be closed to customers while the move is taking place.
“Our new municipal center represents an exciting step forward for the City of Nicholasville,” said Mayor Alex Carter. “During construction, we’re taking every measure to ensure a smooth transition and continued service to our residents.”
Temporary Locations (Effective as of November 14, 2025):
Utilities Customer Services & Tax Payments: 714 S. Main Street (formerly City National Bank, beside Five Star gas station)

Finance, Human Resources, and Tax Administrator: 109 Shannon Parkway

Residents can expect notices in Utility Bills, social media updates, and announcements through local media outlets.
“This move allows us to continue meeting the community’s needs while making way for a modern, accessible municipal center that will serve Nicholasville for generations,” said Director of General Government Doug Blackford.
