The City of Nicholasville seeks to attract new business and industry, support existing companies, and assist entrepreneurs in their efforts to start new operations. This is carried out through the Jessamine County Joint Economic Development Authority (JCEDA).

The Jenette Farm Industrial Park is on the south side of Nicholasville, within the City Limits within an OPPORTUNITY ZONE. Zoned Industrial with access to both US-27 and Shun Pike. It has two entrances, water sewer, storm sewer, and natural gas on site. Each lot either has the utilities available, or they are part of planned phase II utility extension and are nearby, already on the property.
