Staff Accountant I

Wastewater Treatment Plant Supervisor

The City of Nicholasville Human Resources Department will accept applications for Wastewater Treatment Plant Supervisor, grade 58, Pay scale $ 31.25 to $ 42.15. The hiring rate will be determined during the final step of the hiring process.

Under general direction, may supervise all personnel assigned to the plant in the absence of the Superintendent; assist in the operation, maintenance and cleanliness of the wastewater plant; perform related work as required.

Applicants must have a high school degree or GED supplemented by a minimum of five (5) years related work experience including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity; additional education may be substituted for work experience requirements on a year for year basis as acceptable by the Kentucky Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Cabinet.

Must possess and maintain a Class III Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certification issued by the Commonwealth of Ky. Must possess and maintain a driver’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a condition of continued employment. Must be able to work irregular shifts, including evenings, nights and weekends.  Must be able to respond to calls in emergency situations at all hours.
