Accounting Specialist

The City of Nicholasville is accepting applications/resumes for the position of Accounting Specialist, grade 27. The starting rate for this position falls within the hourly range of $23.33 to $31.15. The hiring rate will be determined during the final step of the hiring process.

Under general administrative direction assists with the accounting and financial functions of the City; Assist with processing taxes and fees levied by the city, Assist with maintaining accurate and current tax accounts, Assist with accounts payable duties, perform bookkeeping duties, prepare records and reports as needed and perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Assistant Finance Officer

The City of Nicholasville is accepting applications/resumes for the position of Assistant Finance Officer, grade 34. The starting rate for this position falls within the hourly range of $32.83 to $45.96. The hiring rate will be determined during the final step of the hiring process

Under general administrative direction assists with the accounting and financial functions of the City; reviews and/or performs complex accounting work that requires extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles along with the ability to apply such knowledge; exercises sound decision making skills; coaches/mentors team members; supervises those reporting to the Finance Officer in the absence of the Finance Officer; performs related duties as required.

Staff Engineer

The City of Nicholasville is accepting applications/resumes for the position of Staff
Engineer, grade 34. The starting rate for this position falls within the hourly range of
$32.83 to $45.96. The hiring rate will be determined during the final step of the hiring
process.

Under general direction of the City Engineer, responsibilities include providing
engineering, systems planning, and construction administration services for Public
Improvements (i.e. water, sewer, electric, streets, and storm water). Reviews subdivision
plats, development plans, construction plans, and engineering analysis for Planning and
Zoning as it relates to Public Improvements; may supervise department employees in the
absence of the City Engineer; oversees construction of public improvement; performs
related work as required.
