Nicholasville Police Department

Police Victim's Advocate

The Nicholasville Police Department is accepting applications for a Victim’s Advocate, grade 29. Minimum starting pay at $25.73 per hour; max grade scale over a period of time $46.31. Final hiring rate determined during final step of process and will not be above midpoint. This is a full-time position with benefits including Ky Retirement System, Health Insurance effective on date of hire, and paid leave.

Under general supervision, ensures victims and their families receive accurate information about criminal cases and investigations, appropriate referrals to community services, safety planning, information about the criminal justice system and emotional support; will provide a safe, supportive environment for victims to process what has happened and decide for themselves how best to move forward.

Bookkeeper I

The City of Nicholasville Human Resources Department will accept applications to fill the position in Administration for Bookkeeper I, grade 25. The starting rate for this position falls within the annual range of $ 44,033.60 to $ 58,780.80. The hiring rate will be determined during the final step of the interview process This is a full-time position with benefits including Ky Retirement System, Health Insurance effective on date of hire, and paid leave.

Under general direction performs accounts payable duties for the City; performs some bookkeeping duties as assigned; performs related work as required. The ideal candidate has knowledge of accounting theory, principles and practices and its application to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger; knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to accounting; ability to make mathematical computations with speed and accuracy.
