The City of Nicholasville is currently accepting applications for the following positions:

Meter Reader I

The City of Nicholasville Human Resources Department will accept applications for Meter Department for a Meter Reader I, grade 52, Pay scale $ 19.30 to $ 24.10. The hiring rate will be determined during the final step of the hiring process.

Duties include reading water and electric meters; locating meters; connects and disconnects of services; related duties as required.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED supplemented by one year work experience including frequent contact with the public. Must possess and maintain a valid KY driver’s license.

Human Resources/Payroll Associate

The City of Nicholasville is accepting applications/resumes for the position of Human Resources/Payroll Associate, grade 56. Pay scale $25.80 to $33.55. The final hiring rate will be determined during the final step of the interview process.
Under general administrative direction performs and assists with administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the human resource department including payroll; assists with maintaining human resources records and documentation; assists with administering employee benefits programs; maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records; performs periodic audits for HR files and records; performs related duties as required.

Successful applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) supplemented by two years related work experience, preferably with a governmental organization. A degree from an accredited college or university in a related field may be substituted for work experience requirement where applicable.
