Nicholasville Is Accepting Applications For:
The City of Nicholasville is accepting applications for Cemetery Superintendent, grade 31. Minimum starting pay at $20.94 hour, maximum over time of $37.70 hour.
Under general Administrative direction is responsible for the overall management of the Cemetery operation and maintenance; maintains, services, repairs and coordinates maintenance of all city owned buildings and grounds; supervises personnel within division; responsible for transporting County Class D workers from and to the detention center and is responsible for their supervision while they perform work in department; serves as Cemetery Sexton; coordinates with contractor for mowing at Cemetery; performs related work as required. Sr Building Inspector/Building Inspector
The City of Nicholasville will accept applications to fill only 1 (one) vacancy in the Planning and Zoning Office which may be filled at either level of the following positions:
Sr Building Inspector, grade 28, rate range per hour min $18.09 - max over time $32.56, Final hiring rate determined during final step of interview process. Under general direction and supervision, administers and enforces building and zoning codes, condemnation codes, subdivision regulations, and ordinances: performs related work as required. Applicants must have a high school degree or GED, supplemented by 2 years directly related work experience: additional directly related education may be substituted for work experience requirement on a year for year basis. Applicant must possess at the time of hire and maintain the following as a condition of continued employment: a valid driver's license, One and Two Family Dwelling Inspection Certification ( Ky Dept of Housing), Level I Building Certification ( Ky Dept of Housing).
Building Inspector, grade 26, rate range per hour min $16.41 - max over time $27.35, Final hiring rate determined during final step of interview process. Under general direction and supervision, administers and enforces building and zoning codes, condemnation codes, subdivision regulations, and ordinances: performs related work as required. Applicants must have a high school degree or GED, supplemented by 1 year directly related work experience: additional directly related education may be substituted for work experience. Applicant must possess/obtain the following as a condition of continued employment: a valid driver's license (possess at the time of hire and maintain), One and Two Family Dwelling Inspection Certification ( Ky Dept of Housing), (obtain within the first 6 months of employment and maintain).
