Nicholasville Is Accepting Applications For:

Police Department Bookkeeper

The City of Nicholasville Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Department Bookkeeper, grade 24, pay range min $14.31- max over time $23.85. Duties include but are not limited to processing time sheets; payroll related documents, prepare accounts payable, manage various special accounts, assist with department records, employment process, evidence clerk and performs related work as required. Must have a high school degree or GED supplemented by three years related experience; business school training preferred, but not required. Must have knowledge of accounting practices and procedures; modern office practices, procedures and equipment; business English, spelling and arithmetic; knowledge of or ability to learn federal, state and local laws, ordinances and court requirements. The Nicholasville Fire Department accepts applications year round for this position.

Position Requirements:

  • At least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License (from current state of residence)
  • Current CPAT card if applicable ( out of state applicants or those not currently working for a career department)

The City of Nicholasville Human Resources Department is accepting applications for the position of Water Plant Operator Trainee, 2nd or 3rd shift, grade 19, pay range min $11.05 to max over time $18.41. Duties include assisting in daily operation and maintenance of the Water Plant, including collections and treatment of water; related work as required.
Must have a high school degree or GED and must obtain Class IVA Water Treatment Plant Operators License within 18 months after meeting experience requirements.
