Nicholasville Is Accepting Applications For:

Director of General Government/Administration

The City of Nicholasville will accept applications to fill the position of Director of General Government/Administration, grade 42, rate range per hour min $ 35.82 - max over time $ 64.47. Final hiring rate determined during final step of interview process. Under general administrative directions plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, administers, manages and evaluates all activities and programs of General Government Departments. Applicants must have General knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of Police, Fire, Public Works and Cemetery administration. Successful applicant must have a Bachelors degree in Public Administration, or equivalent field, with two years experience directly related to General Government functions in a Leadership Capacity. Water Distribution Wastewater Collections Operator Trainee

The City of Nicholasville Human Resources Department is accepting applications for the position of Water Distribution, Wastewater Collections Operator Trainee, grade 19, pay range min $11.66 to max over time $19.44, with opportunity for advancement as certifications are acquired. Duties include, not limited to, performing semi skilled and manual labor work in the construction, maintenance and cleanliness of the water distributions and wastewater collection systems. Applicants must have a high school degree or GED. No work experience requirements; however must be able to follow oral and written instructions. Must possess CDL issued by the Commonwealth of Ky or must optain CDL within one year after appointment to the position. Must obtain appropriate Water Distribution/Wastewater Collections certification within 18 months after meeting experience requirements. Applications may be picked up at City Hall, 517 N. The Nicholasville Fire Department accepts applications year round for this position.
