Planning Commission Building Inspector
The City of Nicholasville is accepting applications for the position of Building Inspector, grade 29, starting hourly rate $16.03. Under general administrative direction administers and enforces building and zoning codes, condemnation codes, subdivision regulations, and ordinances; performs related work as required. Must be a High School graduate or posses a GED supplemented by 3 years directly related work experience; additional directly related education may be substituted for work experience; must possess and maintain a valid driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of KY as a condition of continued employment in the position; Must be able to comply with the Building Inspection Certification Program of the KY Dpt of Housing, Buildings and Construction; must obtain a one and two family dwelling inspector certification within the first 6 months of employment and a level 1 certification during first 24 months of employment as a condition of continued employment in the class.
