Nicholasville Is Accepting Applications For:

Water Distribution Wastewater Collections Operator Trainee

The City of Nicholasville Human Resources Department is accepting applications for the position of Water Distribution, Wastewater Collections Operator Trainee, grade 19, pay range min $11.21 to max over time $18.69, with opportunity for advancement as certifications are acquired. Duties include, not limited to, performing semi skilled and manual labor work in the construction, maintenance and cleanliness of the water distributions and wastewater collection systems. Applicants must have a high school degree or GED. No work experience requirements; however must be able to follow oral and written instructions. Must possess CDL issued by the Commonwealth of Ky or must optain CDL within one year after appointment to the position. Must obtain appropriate Water Distribution/Wastewater Collections certification within 18 months after meeting experience requirements. Applications may be picked up at City Hall, 517 N. Meter Reader I

The City of Nicholasville is accepting applications for the position of Meter Reader I, grade 20, rate range min $11.77 - max over time $19.61. Duties include reading water and electric meters; locating meters; connects and disconnects of services; related duties as required. Must have a High School Diploma or GED supplemented by one year work experience including frequent contact with the public. Must possess and maintain a valid Ky driver's license.
