Electric 2nd Class Lineman
The City of Nicholasville is accepting applications for Second Class Lineman, grade 26. Minimum starting pay at $15.24 hour, maximum over time of $25.39 hour. Under general direction will assist in the construction, service, and maintenance of the electric power distribution; performs related duties as required. Applicant must have knowledge and ability to learn complex electrical systems; ability to work from heights and climb poles after receiving proper training. Applicant must have a high school degree or GED supplemented by any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to completion of the Somerset Community College Lineman training program or equivalent; must possess and maintain a valid commercial drivers license issued by the Commonwealth of KY. Police Auxiliary Officer
The City of Nicholasville is accepting applications for the position of Auxiliary Officer, grade 20, entry level start range at $11.37 may progress over time to maximum of $18.95 hr. Duties include but are not limited to enforcement of city ordinances; issues parking violations; directs traffic; assists other departments as directed. This position will work primarily in Code enforcement. Must have a high school degree or GED and be able to successfully complete classroom training in the proper performance of listed duties. Candidate must posses and maintain a valid KY drivers license and be able to operate a vehicle during all weather conditions.
