Nicholasville Is Accepting Applications For:


SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

The City of Nicholasville is accepting applications/resumes for the position of Senior Accountant, grade 30, with an annual pay range from $27,500.20 to $55,000.40. This position is an exempt position with a 35 hour workweek.
Under general administrative direction assists with the accounting and financial functions of the City; may supervise those reporting to the Finance Officer in the absence of the Finance Officer; performs and/or reviews financial activities including accounts receivable and payable, general and subsidiary ledgers, financial statements, notes to financial statements, tax administration, cost of services, debt issuance, and budgeting; Assists with preparing and analyzes financial data and reports; Assists with managing special projects and assignments; Assists with development of systems for maintenance of financial records; Assists with evaluating and developing procedures and internal controls; performs related duties as required.
Successful applicant must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting supplemented by three years of progressively responsible accounting experience. CMA or CPA preferred, but not required.

The City of Nicholasville is accepting applications for the position of Seasonal Maintenance Worker I, part time position, not to exceed 9 months of employment, no benefits.
